Dragon Quest is a series of Japanese role-playing games published by Square Enix. While the series has been running for over three decades, and has more than ten mainline entries, only its most recent games have appeared on PlayStation consoles with trophy support. Their storyline usually follows a the "chosen hero saves the world from an ancient evil" trope.

Dragon Quest games are typically very long (like most Japanese role-playing games). However, other than the time requirement, their platinum trophies are usually not too difficult to achieve.
