PlatPrices Intelligence

For PlayStation publishers & developers

You can’t see what other PlayStation games charge. We can.

PlatPrices has tracked the price of every game on the PlayStation Store for years, across all 47 regional stores. Intelligence opens that up to the people setting the prices: how often a title goes on sale, how deep the cut is, how long it lasts, and what that looks like next to the rest of your genre.

Steam developers have had this kind of pricing data for years. On PlayStation, nobody did.

We have watched these prices for years. PlatPrices records what every PlayStation game costs, in every region, every day. From that seat you notice how much of pricing is still guesswork: a studio picks a number and a discount with almost nothing to compare against. What does the genre charge? How often do rivals actually go on sale? Is −50% generous, or just what everyone expects by now? Are you discounting so often that players have learned to wait? The answers are already sitting in our price history. Intelligence is that history, sorted around the calls you keep having to make.

What you get

Every metric is computed from PlatPrices’ recorded PlayStation Store price history — the same data that runs the public site, sorted around pricing decisions.
%

Discount cadence

How often a title goes on sale, the average and deepest discount, how long each sale runs, and how much of the year it spends below list. Useful for spotting when you’ve trained players to wait.

Lowest-ever & position

All-time low and high, and where today’s price sits between them, so you can tell whether a price is genuinely low or just dressed up as a sale.

Genre benchmarks

Average price, median, and discount behaviour in your genre and price band, and where your title sits against the rest of the segment.

Competitor watch

Follow what rival studios do with price: which titles they cut, which they hold, and a price-drop alert on the games you choose to watch.

47-region price map

Every store’s price normalised to one currency, so you can see where a title is mispriced against the rest of the world. Only PlayStation has this many stores.

Sale calendar & timing

When the PS Store runs its promotions, and when your segment has historically discounted, so you can plan a sale around the calendar instead of chasing it.

Why PlatPrices

What we have that nobody else does

  • Event-level price history across 47 PlayStation Store regions, going back years.
  • Deterministic sale membership: which promotion a discount belonged to, and its start and end dates.
  • Price tied to trophy, difficulty and playtime data, down to a cost-per-hour.
  • PS Plus pricing and catalogue inclusion.

The honest part

  • We show pricing and discount intelligence, not sales or revenue estimates. No store publishes those for PlayStation, so we don’t guess at them.
  • Demand is read through wishlist, library and trophy-earn signals, and we label those as proxies wherever they appear.
  • Every figure traces back to a recorded store price you can check yourself on the public site.

Questions we get asked

What data does it use?

Every figure is computed from the PlayStation Store prices we have recorded over years, the same price history that runs the public site. Nothing is modelled or guessed from outside sources.

Does it estimate sales or revenue?

No. No store publishes sales or revenue for PlayStation, so we don’t pretend to. Intelligence is about pricing and discount behaviour. Where we show demand it comes from wishlist, library and trophy-earn signals, and we say so.

Which regions are covered?

All 47 PlayStation Store regions, each normalised to one currency so you can line a title up against the rest of the world.

How far back does the history go?

Years. It draws on the same event-level price history that powers PlatPrices, including which promotion each discount belonged to and when it started and ended.

How much will it cost?

Free for a public per-title report, then €29/mo for Indie and €79/mo for Pro, up to Agency from €199/mo. The tiers are indicative for launch, and early-access members keep founder pricing.

Can I try it first?

Yes. The single-title pricing report is free for any game on the site, so you can see the kind of data Intelligence is built on before you sign up for anything.
