The Men of the Anduin vale, called the Beornings after the greatest of their folk, are known for their baking, lodge building and kinship with animals. While weary of Dwarves, they share a deep hatred of Orc-kind. When Dwarves build structures of wood they call it Beorn-craft in homage to Thorin's respite at Beorn's lodge. Each July the Dwarves of Erebor remember this with the Feast of the Carrock. They dress as Beornings, eat honey cakes and sit for a large meal.
